RubberRoute is a tyre recommendation tool. We help drivers find the right tyres based on their vehicle, location, and driving habits. This policy explains what information we use and how.
Postcode. We use your postcode to generate tyre recommendations relevant to your area and to find tyre fitting centres near you. Your postcode is used only for these purposes within the same request and is not stored afterwards.
Vehicle registration number. If you enter a registration plate, we look up basic vehicle details (make and fuel type) via the DVLA's public API. We do not store your registration number — it is used solely to pre-fill the vehicle form on your behalf.
Approximate location. To find nearby fitting centres, we pass your postcode to Google Maps. This is converted to an approximate location for the search. We do not track your precise GPS position.
We do not store any personal data permanently. No postcodes, registrations, or vehicle details are written to a database or retained after your session ends.
We do not use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for the site to function. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third parties for their own purposes.
We use the following third-party services to provide core functionality:
DVLA API — to look up vehicle details from a registration number. See the DVLA's privacy notice for details of how they handle data.
Google Maps Platform — to find tyre fitting centres near your postcode. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Because we do not store personal data, there is typically nothing to retrieve or delete — but if you have any questions, please contact us.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how your data is handled, please email us at hello@rubberroute.co.uk.
